Introduction and Reflection
Actually I don't really remember what this assignment was about, but after reading it again I think that it was for a reflection on the reading of the Outsiders. I think the difficulties I might face was to handle the emotions of the main characters and express it with words.

Reading the Outsider
Ponyboy Curtis had
hated the Socs because Socs are the greasers’ enemy and hurt Johnny so badly. He
always thought the Socs were different from him and his friends because they
are rich and all the stuff. He never imagined that Socs have emotions like he
did. He got very scared when caught sight of Socs getting near him. They beat
Johnny up and Johnny never got out of it, I think that scared not only Johnny
but Ponyboy too, because Ponyboy was a younger and weaker greaser compared to
Johnny.
Ponyboy was so scared of the Socs when he was walking back to home from a movie and got jumped. But after he watched a movie with Cherry Valence he changed his idea a bit. He found out that Cherry was almost the same as him. They both watch sunsets sometimes, and Cherry can talk normally like a friend with Ponyboy. She also told Pony that she can fall in love with Dally Winston. Pony also found at the Cherry also watched the sunset sometimes. Bob and his friend tried to drown Ponyboy after he was drunk because he thought he had tried to get hold of his girl and finally got killed by Johnny. But Cherry told Pony that most of the times Bob was a sweet boy, and was different from all the other Socs. He was a very good boy in all the ways, and his father and mother loved him very much and will never say anything ill of him. She told Pony how that made Bob mad, while Pony never realized that a Soc have so much to think about, too. There was not much things that was different from them. Socs also can have many emotions, have the emotions greasers gave, enjoy the same sunset the greasers enjoyed. Johnny also told him to stay gold before he died, to remind him that there were also many things good in life, and that fighting is unnecessary because it cannot change anything that had already happened. At the end of the story, Ponyboy did not look at the Socs like a servant looking at masters anymore. He knew that the Socs have many similarities with him and his following greasers. They could be all right when they want to; they were not always so mean.
