Reflection and introduction.
This assignment was did on class after reading about a murder with picture. We did this in purpose to find critical thinking and find out the murderer. It was a really interesting assignment and I liked it very much. The hard parts were to find out who did the murder from the picture and organize my language to sound like a investigator.

The Invertigation Report
Investigation Report
To: Wanyuan Chief of police
From: Detective LingLing
Subject: Arthur Smith murder
I arrived at the scene at two o’clock to do the autopsy and found Queenie’s husband, Arthur, lying dead on the floor.
Queenie said her husband slipped and fell on the stairs. He was coming down for another drink, and he still had the glass in his hand. When I checked the body and the room, I found that they are still cooking something. Arthur laid face-up at the bottom of the stairs, holding the glass in his left hand. The glass is unbroken. The carpet on the stairs did not seemed to be moved, and the decorations on wall is not moved.
The evidence does not support what Queenie said. First of all, if the man really falls down, he should face the ground but not the ceiling. He should immediately drop the glass when he finds that he is in danger of falling down. But he is holding his cup. When he falls down, the carpet should be disturbed. But the carpet is still where it was. He is holding the cup with his left hand, which means when he got downstairs, he had his right hand free. But he did not grab anything on the wall to save himself because the decorations are undisturbed. The food is still cooking and has steam got out, which means it has already cooked for a while. According to what Queenie said, her husband come downstairs to have ‘another’ drink, which means Arthur must be upstairs for a long time to enjoy his last drink. But the cooking food shows that Arthur is downstairs cooking when he’s supposed to be drinking upstairs. Queenie just got home after a party, the cooking food cannot be made by her. I think when Arthur was cooking, Queenie got back. Arthur was still angry about the tiff they had and does not want to see Queenie, so he left the kitchen and went upstairs. Queenie pulled him when he was getting upstairs and he fell down and died. I also suspect Queenie just hit his head with the hot pan, because Arthur has a big wound on his head. Then Queenie put the glass in his hand and pretended that he fell down the stair, drunk.
Therefore, it is my conclusion that Queenie lied.
